Brian Clarke BE (Mech) MIEAust MAIRAH

Brian graduated from the University of Technology Sydney with an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1983. Whilst studying he was employed as Cadet Engineer by the State Rail Authority where he was involved in a wide range of mechanical and civil projects.

On completion of his degree, Brian worked in the heavy plant equipment field and became the Engineer responsible for air conditioning and building services for the State Rail Authority for a number of years. As a result of this experience, Brian has exceptional skills in building services and well-developed knowledge in the practical application of acoustic design.

Since 1989 Brian has specialised in the fields of acoustics and vibration, gaining specific experience in the management of construction and operation noise, and designing noise control measures. At Wilkinson Murray Brian works on numerous room and building projects in addition to design and investigative reports.

Brian’s particular skills in acoustics include building services noise control, preparation of environmental impact statements, architectural acoustics computer modelling of performance and speech auditoriums and vibration modelling of structures using finite element analysis. Brian's other interest and expertise is associated with ESD and greenhouse gas emissions.

He is also an ABGR / NaBERS assessor and Greenstar Accredited professional. More recently he has been involved in greenhouse gas audits and assessments.
